I just came back home from a relaxing week, camping out at Dianshan Lake. Away from the fireworks and noise of the city, that marked the coming of the new year of the Tiger. I did a bit of sailing with my friends of the Shanghai Boat and Yacht Club. Also went to Shanshui marina in Wuxi at Tai Hu for a day, to help a friend unload a new boat, a Corsair 31. We will have a joint around the lake race with Sanshui marina in April, and a regatta in June.
Now it’s back to work again, and making plans for business and travel. Next month the Shanghai Boat and Yacht Club will have their annual general meeting, and as it looks now I will make myself available for another year on the committee.
In April I will go to Durban, South Africa for about a month, to finish ‘Waratah’ and hopefully sail her this time. I am busy making all the necessary preparations.
The days are getting longer again, and slowly it gets warmer too. Be good to the Tiger, and the Tiger will be good to you!
