Try this feed from Weather Underground. Also good.

http://rss.wunderground.com/auto/rss_full/tropical/index.xml or for our neck of the world: http://rss.wunderground.com/auto/rss_full/tropical/index.xml?basin=wp

Got it on my firefox. Something comes through, I get notification. Quite nice actually.

    • Weather Underground is good. I am using that, http://www.windfinder.com and http://www.predictwind.com for my sailing related weather forecasts. Always good to have several sources and compare. The more they are in agreement, the more accurate the forecast. And let’s not forget the good old barometer :)
